I wouldn't disagree. But that's mainly because I'm like a Christmas Cake...White, old and rich.
One thing is certain, neither the UK nor the Land of the Free is remotely in the running. IIRC, last year's world freedom rankings placed the US at 53, something of an auspicious number for Americans. I think the UK ranked higher but would definitely rank lower now.

Maybe a better question would be 'would my quality of life be better' - the answer to that would be 'It depends'
