FWIW though I don't seem to get much traction around here on information theoretic death, you can use plastination on the brain rather than cryo vitrification.

I don't know the long term stability of that process of chemopreservation. Coolants obviously are much more predictable on the multi-hundred year timeframes as we know chemical action is slowed dramatically.

Obviously this process is utterly irrelevant to religious and the after-life people because they don't see the matter of the brain as relevant to the "mind".
