I wasn't trying to say that ALL poisons are medicines! It's just the turn of phrase that is commonly used.

EDIT: And that is relevant here, because the banned product would have to be on prescription only to avoid the situation where people cause further harm to themselves while trying to recover from cancer, by overdosing with the product.
