Lot's of clutter piled up in a corner of the bedroom as I'm spring cleaning. At 1.30am the whole pile tumbles over. Paranormal?
If the pile of clutter was unstable, even a minuscule movement could be enough to induce the topple... e.g. a slight shifting of joists, rafters, floorboards, etc. owing to contraction / expansion with temperature changes. Often occurs at night as materials that have absorbed heat during the day subsequently cool. Around springtime, one often sees this sort of thing.
