Slightly off-topic, but a story of similar lawyer antics re-forums. Another forum I used to participate in had a member use a photo of a radio/tv host. His lawyers contacted the site insisting this person cease using that avatar, just in case people would think the person depicted was making the posts. Which is only slightly less stupid than thinking Evolving is the official spokesman for whatever media conglomerate now owns the right to Peanuts.

As a response, virtually every regular poster changed their avatar to be a different picture of the C-list local celebrity concerned.

However, that only made the lawyers really nasty and they got the whole forum shut down. Obviously they were terrified that people coming across said site might think he was having multiple conversations with himself, or something.
