Why not? Say I provide evidence that I was at "this and that place at this and that time" and you take the opposing position providing evidence that I was at another place during that time, e.g. with photos, witness accounts etc. Maybe my evidence is fake and contrived?
Or to give another example...isn't the fact that the judeo-christian God doesn't answer prayers (as some tests convincingly suggested) evidence that he actually does not answer prayers as it is claimed by people of some religious faith? Sorry for the tautology but I guess you know what I mean to say
