From Britain's viewpoint, she had to enter the war because she does not want her resources taken from her. This supports the contention that war is merely an extension of economic policy.
Errr, no. I suggest doing some reading on the run-up to the declaration of war might serve you here, particularly regarding Churchill's role in the decision. Nothing to do with protecting resources.
