Well, deniers are pushing it and using it as propaganda, to "prove" how evil people who don't hate science are. Would be nice to have a decent response.
Seems the issue is that the denier who's being threatened with a lawsuit got his hands on some unpublished data which he threatens to publish.
Weird that the university is trying to keep the contents of the letter hidden as well, though. Seems a bit fucked up.
