Oh. I just read my link above. Looks like Diarmaid MacCulloch isn't really a Christian any more. Well he is gay so...
Anyway, you just have to look at the likes of Bart Ehrman and Jown W. Loftus to see that learning your history can actually have a detrimental effect on ones beliefs when you look at it objectively. Especially when you start delving into the lies, the forgeries, the adjustments and blatant propaganda by vested interests all throughout the Bible.
