I think my version better explains two key features of the early writings: 1. the Jewish elements in them; 2. the view throughout that a figure called Jesus is extremely important (albeit important in different ways).
On the other hand, I don't think my version has much difficulty explaining what you refer to as the conflicting nature of much of the early writings, as this can be ascribed to the underlying beliefs held by the different groups which they combined with their new allegiance to Jesus.

The Jesus character is REJECTED by the Jews in the very NT stories.

The Jesus character represents BLASPHEMY in the NT.

The Jesus story reflects elements that are NOT Jewish at all.

1. The worship of a man as a God.

2. The sacrifice of a Man for the Remission of Sins.

3. The blatant disregard for the Laws of Moses.

4. The use of already fulfilled prophecies in Hebrew Scripture to fabricate the acts of Jesus.

The NT Jesus story is blatantly a product of Non-Jews.

The manipulation and massacre of Hebrew Scripture to invent Jesus of Nazareth is extremely obvious.

In the NT, the Jesus character HATED the Jews and called them a generation of VIPERS and that the Father of Jews was the DEVIL a LIAR and MURDERER.

Matthew 23:33
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The Jesus character REPRESENTS Non-Jews.

The Jesus story could not have or most likely was not fabricated by Jews.

The Jesus character did not say ONE thing AGAINST the ROMAN Government or Emperors who were worshiped as Gods.

The Jesus story is a product of anti-Jewish propaganda from NON-JEWS.
