There was that Fort Wayne, Indiana mayor Harry Baals. They backed away from naming a government building after him because of the pronunciation.

This isn't quite the same, but I've always been tickled when people's names sort of match their jobs. There was a bank here once that had a big sign on the window - a greeting from the branch manager, a Mr. Crooks. There's also a psychiatrist around here named Dr. Quirk.
