I've no problem with comparative mythology being on the curriculum. What I do regard as wholly unwarranted, is treating the mythologies in question as fact in class. Of course, every time the annoying question about whether Magic Man "belongs in schools" is aired, it's usually aired by supernaturalists who want their choice of mythology treating as fact in class.
