More fun times with the creature ...
So my wife and I used some of the money we saved during my deployment to purchase new reclining chairs for ourselves - and got a pretty good deal, enough that we splurged on a child-sized recliner for the creature. She liked it well enough:
But, typically for that age, she also liked playing in the box it came in. It has become her new favorite plaything. Two nights ago, my wife went in to find the kid and the dog both sleeping on the box on the floor. When they got up, we stressed that they were not to get up after bedtime to play, and that Lily was expected to sleep in her bed, not on the floor.
Last night we got the following photos:
Note the feet sticking out of the box.
Oh, well - at least she was still on the bed.
Hard to see, but the dog is in next to Lily.
All the activity woke the dog, who wisely got out of the box and returned to her bed. The 6y/o, however, was out for the count, and even the flash didn't disturb her.
