If we brought in some facts, Keep It Real would have to stand down from some of his claims, but I'd be surprised if it would change his feelings. So from this point of view, cooking him in his own stew serves little, tho understandable, purpose. I know this is my song but .. we all have our problems, just some can hide them better.

Emphasis above... I disagree. This is a rational skepticism website, or it's supposed to be in any case. Most of us here will challenge anyone's delusion and force them to confront it (like a theist for example). It doesn't help the delusional (not speaking of KiR personally) to validate the delusion (generally). True, it is something best treated with years of therapy and perhaps even medication, but this site isn't a substitution for therapy. It's a lion's den and theists (believers of all stripes) are a juicy buffalo. Would you scold the lion for eating the buffalo? Don't forget, this is NOT a school ground. It is a website. Perhaps KiR comes here to try and confront whatever it is he has to deal with. The best part is he gets to control the dosage. He can walk away from his computer, put down his phone or even take a breather on another website. Maybe making those choices will make him realize he DOES have control in his life. Or maybe not. :dunno:

The same is true for each and every one of us with problems. We come and go as it suits our needs. Nobody here (I don't think) is judging KiR or disliking him (as he implied he did me) or even making it personal because of his beliefs.

You're right, it may not change his feelings and that's okay. But, someday long after this site doesn't exist, this place could be the lifeline that helped him when he most needed it... in whatever way he sees fit.

Well, so you challenged him, as far as I can see he got mad, has not changed his mind nor his feelings changed and now he is suspended. So good job or something?

It is worse than school ground at times. Its kindergarten.

Bla bla bla ..
You are wrong.
No I am not.
You are, you talk bollocks.
I do not! And dont say bollocks its not nice.
Haha we can say bollocks, the teacher said so! haha

meanwhile other kids join in ..
You are still wrong!
echoes the room
You say stupid things! haha
at this point he is so annoyed that no amount of talking sense makes sense while the room chants
dont let him get away, dont let him get away!
/pulls her hair
/pushes him away
/randomly kicks around
teacher teacher come he did it! he did it!

Don't blame the scorpion, tuco. Isn't that the lesson?

Or, maybe like most of us, we learn from our mistakes. I certainly was not trying to get him booted.
