Thank you for your kind words. I am surprised that I did not get judged harshly regarding the benzodiazepines, even by trubble's post.
My dad's last words before I moved back to shared-accommodation for final year:
"Sort out your fucking sleep problem and stop giving [name censored] bad advice, there is no forcing in Islam, you know fuck all about religions, not Islam or Christianity or anything...".
This was said after I mustered the courage to tell him about mental health issues that have accumulated over the years... quite a blow when I heard that. I've barely contacted them since being at uni.
I am sorry but the benzos and alcohol provide an escape mechanism. Housemates are awesome, but other than that I'm afraid I'll just keep getting judged by people... who'd wanna be friends with someone they think is probably a Muslim and has anxiety/panic/insomnia etc.?
