Imagine growing up not percieving dogs as pets and then having someone insist one ride in the car with you.
I wouldn't respond particularly well to someone suggesting their goat ride in my car. They stink and shed and are potentially dangerous. I'm not sure a goat is any worse than a dog in any of those respects though. I'm just accustomed to seeing dogs as house pets.
