Any act that would be immoral in the presence of gods would be precisely as immoral in their absence.
If we would be valuable in the presence of gods, we would be precisely as valuable in their absence.
If we could not be explained but by gods, then they could not be explained but by other gods.
If a finite life would be pointless, then an infinite life would be infinitely pointless.

We do not deserve to be burnt alive for our religious beliefs or lack thereof.
Blood can not wash away sin.
If someone claims to be a god, or the son of a god, or the messenger of a god, and says things that do not make sense, we should be sceptical.
