There may have been a limit as to how much side-swiping he could take from his fractured flock. The schism over ordaining female or gay bishops has resulted in a break-away movement - the "Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans" - who have had one Gafcon* conference in Jerusalem and are having a second this month, ironically, in William's backyard.
