I could actually feel that warm feeling of expectation, the one you get when you're about to settle down to watch a movie or read a book - or indeed listen to a story. It's a familiar feeling, of course, but I'd never identified it as a potential for imminent hoodwinking.
It explains so much. Thanks for posting that, it was a revelation.
