Canadian Catholic is apparently an "ex-atheist" who thinks that you can't get to a cockroach brain to a human brain via evolution. Why? An argument from incredulity, redefine god to uselessness, and fine-tuning basically.

The first time encountering him was when he was on the Atheist Experience. It's this episode:

Ep clip of CC:

Recently, he debated AronRa. I can't give much on this debated, other than CC stalks the r/ex-catholic and r/atheism subreddits. He also whines about the definitions of gods being "magical", even though that's an honest description. Even though he redefines god in a more pantheistic sense. (35:49) So he's not a Catholic, he's a pantheist or panentheist (some who thinks that God is transcendent, beyond space and time and eclipses the universe). He also very liberal in his interpretation of the bible, using excuses of allegory and "colorful language" to explain away faults in his god (the bible).

To me, he sounds like the typical ex-atheist apologist.
