i can understand that we have superfluous bits inside us that once had a useful purpose, i.e wisdom teeth for when we were herbivores.

but whats the dealio with nips? were we once hermaphrodites?
is it a male monkey only thing or are there other male animals/insects etc with superfluous ladybits?
