Unsure this will be successful, there is still no beyond reasonable doubt link proving that Zika infection (ZIKAV is current name) causes these birth defects, but the evidence is enormous and mounting and if this was a murder trial enough exists to arrest if not convict the suspect.
This outbreak too big, too new and too different from previous ones for 100% certainty just now.
The ability to test for the virus is still quite limited, and it may be that this outbreak is far bigger and more widespread than we are seeing right now as we are still experiencing a significant time lag especially in respect to diagnosed microcephaly associated with possible infection.
