Asking gays who went through electrochocs "conversion" would also say that their orientation has changed, when in fact their desires have been psychologically associated with pain, which makes them deny what they really feel. Your study doesn't prove on any way that those 42% had their orientation changed, just that they feel guilty about it. Which they already did before joining the study.
