If you must look to chimpanzee behaviour for anecdotes on sexuality and violence, then at least compare and contrast Pan paniscus with Pan troglodytes. Bonobos engage in far more social sexual behaviour than the much more aggressive robust chimpanzee. So there is some indication of a negative correlation.
