Yes, it is pretty outdated in terms of the c++ feature set it uses. And again, Qt needs a precompiler on top of it all, so you have to keep it in mind that it is even cheating :)

Yes, some languages do indeed make it very straightforward to bind to C, something that can't be done well with c++ due to the complex and compiler dependent abi. Don't think that is going to change in the next 20 years.


I have hope again! Qt makes me feel dirty. Somebody owns it, which is the way it is for so much c++. Nobody pwns it.
