Consciosness in Graziano's view is something we know with certainty. It means we all have a subjective self having experiences, an inner life we can refer to.
and importantly compare experiences ....so that the person who sees colours differently knows what he is missing and that others share that difficulty that would be the real world there Jamest....testable.
