Everything is distortion, nothing of the 'real' universe can be known by the brain, lump of biased neuronal wetware. What we have at most is a shared magical thinking delusion deriving its cohesion from nothing. Doesn't it scare you the waking universe is apparently 'rational' whilst lucid dreaming produces the apparent impossible? Where will it end/begin before we consider return.
