Different people find different shit important. If they feel the need to discuss their ethnicity or gender, in the company of whoever they feel comfortable around, then they should go for it. It's not something that bothers me, and I certainly don't have any reason to judge them for it. I may not understand it, but who gives a shit what I think? Lots of people don't understand me, I certainly don't lose any sleep over it. As long as it's not harming you what difference does it make?
