What do you want? A better job, or a more interesting career? Or a bit of both?
Surely there are more jobs for an economics graduate than a physics graduate. But there are probably much more interesting jobs available in the field of physics.
But i'm sure if you are really good at both, you'll end up in an interesting job either way.
