I prefer text to sound function of smartphones, its still a robotic sound and when the text isn't clean turning into pain to understand but still better than buying books.
You might say what's bad about buying, first carrying them is an effort, usually in order to read 30-40 pages we're carrying at least 150 pages with us. What's happening if friends, relatives don't see and want it before you end is another problem. I bought every single novel Dean Koontz and Stephen King wrote till 2000 as the number of university books increase I couldn't find any more free space.
