I was asked by one of my favourite people on the planet to write a piece for her blog. I chose as the topic the experience of viewing an original masterpiece for the first time. A huge departure from my usual oeuvre, not least in the freedom of language employed as opposed to the usual careful exactitude, I thought I should share it.
