I haven't even heard of Withnail & I until someone wrote about it posted an excerpt in another forum a couple of years ago. Rummaging around for a bit, I found it available (in two parts and glorious 538 x 220 resolution) on Dailymotion, and dowloaded it. (Link). It's still on my "to watch one day" list.
(Somewhat offtopic) Sites like Youtube, Vimeo and Dailymotion have increasingly become veritable treasure troves of full length movies and documentaries, including works I could not find for sale on DVD. Thanks to them I have caught up with old stuff like "The Triple Echo" (Glenda Jackson, Oliver Reed), "The Music Lovers" Richard Chamberlain, Glenda Jackson, Ken Russell (dir)), "This Sporting Life" (Richard Harris, Rachel Roberts), "The Civil War" (Ken Burns) and many others.
