Nothing is totally homogeneous in language, but, while actors at the Globe Theatre didn't sound exactly like me, they definitely weren't speaking RP either. Here's a good rundown:
I guess the best way to explain it would be hearing JFK or Peter Griffin from Family Guy and observing "that sounds a bit silly, huh?"
