When I was on Airborne status, we used to sing some pretty dark-humored running cadences.
One of my favorite verses went like this (sidebar explanations in parentheses):
"If my main (parachute) don't open wide,
I've got a reserve (parachute) by my side (actually, on my belly).
And if that one should fail me too,
I'll hit the ground before you do!"
