What will JWST see first?

HD 84406, is a star approximately 241 light-years away in the constellation of Ursa Major. The star is a spectral type G star and has a high proper motion. HD 84406 is the first star to be imaged by the James Webb Space Telescope.

In order to align its 18 mirrors, small adjustments to each segment will bring the 18 images of this star to sharp focus in the coming months as the instruments continue cooling to operating temperature...
... The cryocooler will cool MIRI to 6 kelvins in the following months.
