Well, at least they're introducing a species known to actually target the Ash Borer. But, yes, it brings to mind the effectiveness of releasing a South American toad to control native Australia beetle species.

Long story short. Cane Toads are still spreading across the country to the determent of native biodiversity, except for the cane beetles which appear to have been largely untouched.

On the other hand, the import of a South American moth *did* massively cut back the invasive Prickly Pair population with mostly no other repercussions, so biological pest control can work.
