My gripe was Stannis. He is by far my favourite character in the books. He is a no nonsense, shrewd military commander who has a legit claim to the throne as being a legitimate heir.
But nope the show just completely goes and changes that story arc.
The thing about George RR Martin's series is he may kill a bunch of characters, but each of the four strongest houses all remain in play. Stark, Lannister, Targaryen, and Baratheon.
The show has pretty much made the Baratheon house irrelevant. So much for Game of Thrones.
