This weeks selection for the family Classics of the Cinema night, and still my all-time favourite movie:
Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo
I always notice something new with this one. I never quite appreciated what a daring move it was to put the plot twist in the middle of the story, rather than at the end where convention would say it should go. What we lose in suspense is more than compensated by he psychological complexity Kim Novack's character gains as a result.
Then, for me and Mrs. Shrunk:
The Informant!
A good one. I liked how the true nature of the main character is gradually revealed. I suspect no two people watching it will come to this realization at the same time. Still, I kept wondering throughout how Jason Bourne became such a nebbish.
