If you saw your photos on 1:1 OLED you'd change your tune right quick.
"Effective resolution" ...is that the cop out term for lack of detail ??
And that's HD as as a base let alone SD which is simply pathetic these days.
There are all the people that have upoaded their photos at lower resolutions that will be mightly disappointed down the road.
In addition - the much higher dynamic range and pure blacks make it very hard to resist.
