Sitcoms of this era are boring. Present day comedians none really. I think it is really an age thing. It seems all very much artificial. So made up it hurts. We (my generation) were doing everything a fresh. I used to watch the Fringe in the Edinburgh Festival and saw many up and coming new stars. They were fresh and vibrant. Peter Cook and Dudley Moor were fantastic live as was the Cambridge Footlights from which came so much. Now they win a talent competition and think they are great. No not much makes me laugh these days but that is the same here. The Dutch had great cabaret artists but that has also gone. America has had such an influence. American comedy really does everything that comedy should not do.
