1:40:42 into Tenet with 49:27 left. This feels like it should've been a comic book. As a movie, it needed a better writer & director - and some of the editing is stupid. The cast is ok - even Branagh. Zero surprises for me so far. The 'twist' that's about to reveal itself was telegraphed visually almost an hour ago.... and again several times just now, in close-ups & with characters directly drawing attention to it before it happens. But I'm 100% sure it's supposed to feel like a 'twist'.

Whenever there's a hint of intrigue despite the visual telegraphing, the sledgehammer dialogue kills it, and there's nothing subtle or distracting or interesting in how the characters interact, which is the director's fault. And why do characters still talk loudly about top-secret stuff in crowded buses and on crowded streets, with people staring? How are audiences still taking that kind of shit in stride?
