Yeah, that's how subscription services work. So what? You either subscribe to it or you don't. It's not like they are making it a requirement for the XBox as a whole or for any existing EA games you've already bought.
For the cost I'd be buying it if I had an XBox One. I can't wait for Sony's steaming game service.
