One of the biggest reasons the servers experienced major issues is because they hit population spikes that were not exactly expected.

After 4 expansions?
Really?

Yes really. I don't know how long you have been playing but BC, Wrath, Cata, and Pandaria were all relatively smooth with bugs on occaison. Considering Cata had the most people online at a given time in Wow's history and had an incredibly successful launch day the fact that Draenor is a bit different (namely all players are being focused at garrisons either in Shadowmoon Valley or Frostridge Fall in individually instanced zones) is something the delvs and team thought they had fixed. Obviously the PTR realms can only gauge so much.

So Blizzard asserts.
And they haven't specified where these supposed DDoS attacks came from.

And why should they? That is business classified. What reasons does Blizzard have for lying about DDoS attacks? They are very common in online software whether intentional or accidental. So go on and be skeptical of DDoS attacks if it helps you sleep at night. :dunno:

willhud9 wrote:I honestly was expecting them to take down the servers but the fact is they just capped the servers which is a mild issue since servers can still hold thousands regardless of the cap. At least you were able to play to a degree (unless you are on one of the more popular servers like Darkspear and Proudmoore than sucks for you).

So you admit that many people were not able to play the game?
At the very least Blizzard should exclude yesterday from the subscription time count.

 No they should not. Read your ToS (you know the thing everyone just scrolls down and hits accept so they can play.)

Blizzard reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, add to, supplement or delete, at any time, any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, any feature of the Game or the Service, hours of availability, content, data, software or equipment needed to access the Game or the Service, effective with or without prior notice; provided, however, that material changes to this Terms of Use Agreement will not be applied retroactively. If any future changes to this Agreement are unacceptable to you or cause you to no longer be in compliance with this Agreement, you must terminate, and immediately stop using, the Game. Your continued use of the Game following any revision to this Agreement constitutes your complete and irrevocable acceptance of any and all such changes. Blizzard may change, modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Game at any time. The entire risk arising out of the use or performance of the Game (including without limitation the Game Client and manual(s)) remains with you, the user. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

If you disagree with those terms you unsubscribe and cease playing. That is what you esigned by saying you accept.

This is why Blizz can shut down the servers every Tuesday to do maintenance. They can technically shut the servers off indefinitely, but they wouldn't do that without prior notice. So no they shouldn't refund what? $2.00 for a day of buggy or no gameplay? :nono:
