And I've mentioned this before: that we can do this stuff nowadays is pretty cool. You're getting near enough the speeds here you would get if you downloaded and ran an emulator. The javascript that's used to make these browser emulators work is generated automatically from the same C source code that the emulators are written in, albeit a slightly odd looking subset of javascript that has only low-level functionality and that browsers know how to optimise.

I'm really hoping that the next crop of commercial games will be playable in a browser. Unreal, Unity and CryEngine all export directly to the browser using the same tech behind these emulators.
