From what I’ve learned bout Stirling engines, they aren’t well suited to modulating their output power. They just don’t respond quickly to throttle inputs.
They are an integral part of my proposed system of meshed electric power buffers to make possible widely distributed power generation. I’m not pleased with the inefficiencies of the system, though.
