Basically, Apple has acquired that strain of corporate entitlement known as "The customer is a limitlessly milkable cash cow, and it's our right to do whatever keeps the customer as a limitlessly milkable cash cow".
Known also to those of us of a certain age as "abuse of monopoly power".
The only reason for the shenanigans featured in that video clip, is to force the customer to submit to whatever price gouging, the fat $2 trillion corporation regards itself as divinely entitled to conduct.
