Why the fuck would any scientist collaborate with Dipshit Shitra in any way?

I tried listening to this but YouTube tells me I quit about six minutes in because that's where it picked up:

Basically, it's prosperity gospel puts on sandals and backpacks East. Absolute dogshit as far as I can tell, though admittedly I sampled very little of it.

Chopra often tells us how much he is concerned about environmental sustainability. Here he tells us that sustainability requires a "psychological and emotional shift":

I wholeheartedly agree. One such example of that shift would be ceasing the wasteful pursuit of positional goods that flaunt status. You know, like this one:

I always imagine Chopra as one of those phony gurus at Kumbh Mela, the sort who are always chasing after money and women, who decided that one day he would get a haircut and take a bath, then start plying his trade to an even wider, equally gullible Western audience. Fuck that guy.

There are differences between the two situations. A major part of the creationist strategy is to create the impression that the scientific status of the theory of evolution is not settled, that there is still legitimate scientific "controversy." So by engaging them in debate, one is actually helping to perpetuate this claim.

Chopra is not actually denying science. He accepts that quantum mechanics is true. He just tries to misappropriate it to legitimize his metaphysical flapdoodle. So there is not the same drawback in holding him to account and demonstrating that his claims are just hot air.

It seems that the book allowed Mlodinov the opportunity to respond to and debunk Chopra's claims in detail, so I think that would be worthwhile to take advantage of that. In the Amazon reviews there are a number of people who say they were followers of Chopra when they started the book, but were no longer by the time they finished it.
