See later in the thread, where I withdrew the remark about hydrogen being different from heavier elements: I had forgotten that quark binding is also due to the strong force. :oops:

The Higgs field is an energy field that binds the universe together. The Force is also an energy field that binds the universe together thus proving that the Higgs field is really the Force.
