inkaStepa wrote:I've been hearing a lot about these aliens who genetically engineered humans. I'm not very familiar with the theory except from what I've been told by various circles of people at Uni- most which are seriously wrapped up in it as being true. Some of them say they are Nibiru others believe Rael and say they're Elohim...

Opinions anyone? Thanks.

There is no evidence to support this idea. We have yet to discover a single life form outside of our solar system, let alone discover an extraterrestrial civilization advanced enough to engineer a multicellular species.

Maybe you should ask Galaxian if the Nibiru are part of the Galactic Federation which we know for a fact exists?

To be fair, da Sitch is only one part of the Nibiru/12th Planet puzzle and there appears to be more to this than merely that brand o' woo. Raelians par example. Maybe InkaStepa will clarify at some point.

Ugh.

It's even worse than just having intelligent life forms on a planet colder than Pluto; apparently the planet swings by the Earth on occasion and so not only do the creatures on that planet have to tolerate insanely cold temperatures, they also have to endure something even worse: a massive temperature differential. While it's crazy to think that anything resembling a multi-cellular organism (let alone an intelligent one) could live in the cold, even if we assume that somehow there exists something that evolved the ability to live in near absolute zero temperatures there is no way in fuck such a creature could then adjust to near Earth temperatures. That's about a 100 Kelvin swing; most of Earth's extinctions happened with a fraction of that difference. The environmental devastation from such a temperature swing would be unimaginable.

To be fair, it didn't evolve in extreme conditions. Archaeaon the other hand, most likely did and was probably one of the first organisms

It's a wee bit early to speculate on the possibility of life on a planet like the one Sitch proposes. Given that it's apparenlty rampant speculation that such a planet exists in the first place, well in our solar system at least (other systems have been found or modeled that are inherently much more chaotic).
