Things that wait until 1.30am to go from a creep to a fall?

Things that make you question is it the matrix or ghosts?

Lot's of clutter piled up in a corner of the bedroom as I'm spring cleaning. At 1.30am the whole pile tumbles over. Paranormal? :?

Do you even need to ask? Things like this won't happen if you remember to shut off the gravity before hitting the sack, but that makes it more difficult to climb into bed. Remember to switch the gravity back on before going to the toilet next morning.

Definitely paranormal. Had the clutter tumbled over immediately or soon after you did your spring cleaning, it would have been due to you not piling it up correctly. So, natural cause. Had it tumbled over much later, it would have been due to material decay. So again, natural cause. Tumbling over at the time it did excludes both explanations. Obviously.

I was deep asleep. Without thinking burglarations in process, without thinking at all really, awoke to the clatter and said in a loud voice 'prooof' and now why would I do that?

You should have said "XYZZY" or (in a hollow voice) "PLUGH". You're lucky you didn't end in a maze of twisty passages, all alike.

I can't tell you. The FUA forbids it.

Was tempted to do a Howard Hughes and go full forensic on the situation until I awoke more, realised that had already been done and ended in a catastrophic plane wreck...thought better of it.

My theory is that the matrix is real and the late night staff on the truman show monitor get bored with my snoring, so set the catastrophe rolling. I can imagine them as fat slobs worse than me, altering the friction dynamics on the screen....then sitting back with a mug of cocoa waiting, watching, waiting....

This sort of thing happens a lot on a boat. Some say it's because the boat moves, but I know it's haints.

I also think the processing power required for a manned mission to Mars explains the Covid-19 issue better than a virus. Processing needed to get to Mars means shops and businesses are running on empty for the moment. You could argue the virus is also a nudge by the simulators to get off this rock.

If the pile of clutter was unstable, even a minuscule movement could be enough to induce the topple... e.g. a slight shifting of joists, rafters, floorboards, etc. owing to contraction / expansion with temperature changes. Often occurs at night as materials that have absorbed heat during the day subsequently cool. Around springtime, one often sees this sort of thing.

My precious bookcase speakers with a curved front are part of what went to causing the system collapse. I had them safely caught between plastic tubs and then put books and things on top of that, then some more.

I have an Android version of that on my phone. Do you remember the first time you noticed that the maze of twisty passages, all different, wasn't the same maze?
